Where is Mrs Plum going wrong?

Started by: tomplum (12503)

She likes to go to the Buzz Bingo on a Sunday night but, she never wins, I'm just wondering if anyone can offer any tips to make her night there more enjoyable by having a win, every now and again, ?

Tom

Well it comes down to 'statistics' doesn't it, the more she plays, the more chance she will have of winning, so how about she goes more often ?

Perhaps Wednesday's and Friday's has well as the Sunday's

tom did you ever hear about the story about the man who came upon the man who was fishing but he did not have a line in the water? He was asked what he was doing and he said that he likes reading poetry and it was the only place he could get some peace and quite......

Maybe it not about your wife winning why she goes to bingo

peter israel,

Your story reminds me of my builder.

Well he was my builder, who became a friend.

He asked me if I would like to share his allotment with him: a lovely plot with many fruit trees, and he being a builder, the hut was built substantially, as if it were a house. He did not want to spend his Sundays gardening, but to have a place to escape to, where he could write.

Worked out well until he split with his wife: turned out the allotment was in her name, so we both lost our little gem.

Peter your story of the fisherman also hits a chord with myself who, Also likes just to sit and enjoy the piece and quiet but. I do have a rod, line and float because, As Spike Milligan once said,
" there's a fine line between a crazy man sat on the bank and the float in the water "

When I worked (well, I went.) (Occasionally!) at Parkside Colliery (the one in Newton le Willows, in the St.Helens Coalfield ) I once asked a bloke why he spent every day of the week at t'pit, never having a day off?
He simply replied, " 'gets me away from t'waaaaife an' kids"!
